About Me

My name is Jordan Zacharias and I have been passionate about music since I can remember.  I grew up singing songs all day, playing plenty of air instruments, and putting on vinyl after vinyl on my dad’s record player.  Some of my earliest childhood memories are of trying to break dance to Herbie Hancock, rocking out to Michael Jackson, or enjoying the wit of Weird Al Yankovic.  I discovered my passion for the drums at the age of 8 years old, and have been heavily addicted ever since.  I always remember paying especially close attention to the rhythm section of any song that I was listening to… I don’t quite know why that is, but it has turned me into the percussive-obsessive that I am today.

I started taking lessons at the young age of 9 years old, and definitely did not have the best rhythm… luckily, I had plenty of supportive drum teachers / inspirational musicians in my life that helped me along the way (Jason Evans, Danny Woods, Mike De Neve, Jim Cook, James Bush, and many more).  I started out learning how to play Rock and then went on to learn & pursue other styles such as Pop, Jazz, Punk, Hardcore, Metal, BeBop, Swing, Indie, Latin, Bluegrass, Blues, Alternative, Reggae and Folk. I started to play drums at my church at the age of 13.  I was terrified at first of playing in front of so many peers, family, and fellow musicians, however I was able to over come those fears and started to truly enjoy performing.  Since then, I have been playing live in countless shows and performed numerous sessions with many different talented bands and artists, including (but not limited to):

- Cold Weather Rescue
- Head On Collision
- Brenden Bourgeois
- Carts Before Horses
- The Secret’s Red
- Parker Theory
- The EFCC Worship Band
- The Electric Controversy
